Happy New Year!

Put on your party hats and sound your noise makers! It is time to ring in the 2008 Disney style! Here’s what is happening at the parks...

Magic Kingdom is celebrating the New Year with extended park hours from 8 am to 1 am. There will be double the parades and fire works to make this night extra special. The streets will be filled with excitement with two showings of the “SpectroMagic” parade at 7 and 10:30. Count down the magic with “Holiday Wishes” fireworks at 8:30pm and “Fantasy in the Sky” at 11:50.

There will be a special presentation of Epcot’s "IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth" laser-light spectacular. Latin crossover band Papo's Groove and DJ Indio Davila will keep you entertained at America Gardens Theatre, while the big band sound of the Tom Butler Orchestra will fill World Showplace. Rock out at Scooter's dance party at the Fountain Stage, or techno rock at the China pavilion, and classic rock 'n' roll at the Italy pavilion in World Showcase. The park will be open from 8 a.m.-1 a.m.

Disney-MGM Studios is still aglow with the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. Millions of lights dazzle the Streets of America back lot through January 6, 2008. Special entertainment includes three showings of "Fantasmic!" fireworks at 6:30, 8:30 and 10 p.m. and a incredible display of fireworks at midnight.

Join the outrageous street party at Disney's Animal Kingdom for "Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Expedition" parade starring all of your favorite Disney friends. Park hours are from 8 a.m.-8

Keep in mind, Magic Kingdom generally sells out rather quickly the morning of and Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and MGM shortly after so be sure to purchase your tickets in advance and arrive extra early to avoid the lines at the gate.

Atlantis Postponed

The Space Shuttle launch has been postponed with no information for the new date and time. There is a fuel sensor problem NASA engineers are trying to correct before launch.

Space Shuttle Atlantis
